Troubleshooting 'Open Estimate Failed' Error in Sage Estimating - Server Connectivity Fix

Resolving 'Open Estimate Failed - Server Offline' Error in Sage Estimating

Issue:

See the screenshot below of the 'Open Estimate Failed - Server Does Not Exist or is Offline' error message. 

Resolution

1. From the workstation/server where Sage Estimating is installed, open ODBC 64-bit by typing ODBC from the start menu and select ODBC Data Sources (64-bit).



2. Select the Drivers tab, and note the version of the SQL Server Native Client 11.0 driver. {v2011.110.5058.00 - 05/15/2014} 




3. With a browser, navigate to the Microsoft download page for the latest Native Client.

4. Complete the installation wizard to install latest Native Client driver.


5. With the Native Client driver updated, open ODBC Data Sources (64-bit) and confirm the updated driver version. {v2011.110.7001.00 - 08/15/2017}


Following these steps should resolve the 'Open Estimate Failed' error, enabling Sage Estimating to open correctly.
