Guide to Copying Financial Statements in Sage 300 CRE - Data Folder Transfer

How to Copy Financial Statements to Another Data Folder in Sage 300 CRE

You can copy a financial statement design from one folder to another only if the destination folder has the same account format and chart of accounts as the source folder and the accounting method (accrual, cash, or both) is the same. Refer to this Knowledge Base article to see how:

Note: If the design uses only base accounts, the destination folder can have a different prefix structure than the source folder. However, the base accounts must be the same.

  1. From the Tools menu, select File Tools.
  2. Select Copy and click Next.
  3. In the Select File to Copy section, browse to and select the design you want to copy along with the accumulator file accum.fsa
Tips:
  1. Design names will have an .FSD file extension.
  2. Press and hold CTRL while selecting files to copy to select more than one file.
  3. You can also copy statement groups. Statement group names will have an .FSN file extension.

Note: If the accum.fsa file already exists in the destination folder, do not overwrite this file. If the designs being copied use accumulators you will need to recreate the accumulators in the new data folder. In the old date folder Open Financial Statement Designer, Print the Accumulator Report in File Menu, Open Print, and select Accumulators. Then, Recreate the Accumulators in the new company In Financial Statement Designer. From the Tools menu, select Accumulators and setup the accumulator in the destination folder.
  1. In the Destination Folder box, type the path of the destination data folder or click Browse to select it.
  2. Click Next.
  3. Confirm the Validation Progress shows all green lights then click Next.
  4. Click Next in the Verify Files window.
  5. Click Next in the Execution Summary window.
  6. Click Finish.

You can now print the financial statement design from the destination folder as usual.
