How to Fix MyAssistant Not Sending Emails

Overview

This article provides solutions to the most common issues that prevent MyAssistant from sending emails.

Issue 1: Services Not Running on the Server

Symptoms: MyAssistant stops sending emails after Windows updates or server restarts.

Solution:

1. Stop and Restart My Assistant Services:
  1. Open the services management console on your server.
  2. Locate and restart the following services:
    1. ISD AdminSenderService
    2. ISDAdminTaskService

Issue 2: Password Changed on Email Account

Symptoms: Emails not sent after changing the email account password.

Solution:

1. Update Password in My Assistant:
  1. For My Assistant version 22 or greater:
    1. Update the password directly from the My Assistant designer user interface.
    2. Alternatively, use the My Assistant Configuration on the server.

Issue 3: Two-Factor Authentication Enabled

Symptoms: Email sending issues after enabling two-factor authentication.

Solution:

1. Create and Use an Application Password:
  1. Visit the Microsoft support page for creating application passwords here.
  2. Create an application-specific password.
  3. Enter this application password into My Assistant settings in place of the regular email password.
